I work as a professional artist from my Studio in Weston Heath, Shropshire. Inspired by the landscape, bold, vibrant colour and texture fascinate me and I strive to create exciting and evocative paintings in acrylics, oils, watercolour and mixed media.

On my travels, I sketch prolifically and create finished work en plein air.  I gather enough information to develop a series of paintings both in terms of detail and colour. I see the use of sketches and photographs taken on location as a starting point only... tending to paint the way I feel to capture the essence of a place.

Elected Full Member of the RBSA in April 2008, I exhibit in open exhibitions and art fairs throughout the UK. I also run a busy programme of workshops, painting holidays and demonstrations.
