About

I’m a professional artist working from my studio in Weston Heath, Shropshire. Inspired by the landscape, I’m drawn to bold, vibrant colour and rich texture, and I aim to create paintings that feel both exciting and evocative. I work across a range of media, including acrylics, oils, watercolour and mixed media.

When I travel, I sketch extensively and often create finished pieces en plein air. These sketches, along with photographs taken on location, provide a starting point for developing a series of paintings. From there, I paint intuitively—responding to how a place feels—in order to capture its true essence rather than simply its detail.

I was elected a Full Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA) in April 2008 and regularly exhibit in open exhibitions and art fairs across the UK. Alongside my studio practice, I run a lively programme of workshops, painting holidays and demonstrations, welcoming artists of all levels.
