Painted in oils on the evening of the summer solstice, Chasing the Light captures the fleeting magic of the longest day of the year. With the sun dropping fast, I had to work quickly to keep up with the changing light – a true golden hour spectacle. The rich, shifting colours and soft warmth of the scene made it perfect for oils, allowing me to move the paint freely and really play with colour and atmosphere.
