Some paintings just seem to come together effortlessly, and this was one of them. I loved capturing the almost blinding glare of the sun and the way the light flickers across the water’s surface. This subject has been on my mind for a while—water, backlit trees, and reflections always draw me in. There’s something mesmerizing about how patterns dance on the water, shifting and changing with the light. I really enjoyed painting this one!
