Isles of Scilly – a place like nowhere else in England!

A place of outstanding beauty, uncrowded and unspoilt. The Isles of Scilly lie just off the coast of Cornwall but are a world apart in every way. From the minute you arrive, you'll fall in love with the islands and you’ll leave yearning to return.

Getting to Scilly

Getting to the Isles of Scilly is a truly memorable experience. Either watch the islands appear over the horizon and enjoy the aerial view, or simply sit back and cruise across the ocean… you might even see whales and basking sharks; even the odd submarine has popped up to say hello.

Places to stay

The perfect holiday starts with the perfect place to stay. From converted barns to castles; from 4-star hotels to self-catering and camping, there’s something for everyone – a range of options to suit every taste and every budget.

Please contact Carole for more information.

*****

This 6-day painting holiday has been designed to encourage students to paint ‘en plein air’ either in the form of sketches or finished works in watercolour or mixed media. You will be gathering source material in the form of sketches, photographs and written notes.

You will need to be fit and active as there will be a lot of walking and be prepared for all weather conditions – so some good walking boots and waterproofs are a good idea.

The group will be limited to between 8-10 people ensuring Carole gives everyone plenty of individual attention – early booking is recommended.

Cost: * Travel and accommodation extra.

By boat:
Travelling to the Isles of Scilly is much simpler than many people imagine. The easiest way is to head down to Penzance the day before your departure and stay overnight in a local hotel or Airbnb. The following morning, you can park your car at Scilly Parking, where a shuttle bus will take you directly to the quay. From there, you board the ferry and will be stepping onto the Isles of Scilly by around 12:30 pm at the latest. Your luggage is then delivered straight to your accommodation, leaving you free to relax and start enjoying your holiday the moment you arrive.
The alternative is to fly small plane or helicopter.
